I found psyllium husk powder in the bulk section of my local health food grocery store.
This is kind of an emergency as I plan on making this pie tomorrow for Christmas I live in a remote place where I can't
find either psyllium husk powder or arrowroot powder.
I really want to try this recipe but can't
find the psyllium husk powder.

They all have their own superfood bread, and you will
find that they are all pretty similar, and almost all of them use something called «
psyllium husk seeds or
powder» in their recipes.
The
psyllium seed
husks can be hard to
find, but I
found some at Whole Foods in
powder form.
I can't
find psyllium husks here, just the
powdered psyllium husks and you state they are not interchangeable.
I
found whole
psyllium husks to work best but even
psyllium husk powder is good - just make sure you use at least one of these.
Chickpea (garbanzo bean) flour also works in place of the yellow pea flour, while
psyllium husk powder can be
found in most health food shops and online.
By the way, if you can't
find the
psyllium husk version,
psyllium powder will work too (try 2 tablespoons instead of 3 as it's finer than the
husk).
I recently
found a Metamucil product that contains just
psyllium husks and gelatin; it's easy to open the capsule and mix the
powder with food.
