A Brechtian
framing device sees the couple enact a retrospective therapy, as episodes from the past (the film?)
One of
the framing devices sees a journalist (Billy Crudup) interviewing her for a magazine article a week removed from the pivotal event, giving the picture a Citizen Kane - ish aspect as it probes the enigma wrapped inside a riddle that is Jacqueline Lee Kennedy née Bouvier, who's something of a stranger to herself.
Not exact matches
One thing I decidedly did not like was the
framing device of Nick Carraway writing the story from a sanitarium, where he has gone to recuperate from the «morbid alcoholism» (I think those are the words we
see on his diagnostic papers) brought on by the tragedy to which he was witness.
Some of the
framing device is honestly a little bit flawed, considering that Judy could easily look over Rodentia,
seeing even as a small rabbit she towers over the inhabitants of that particular area.
After
seeing the packed narratives within narratives of part one, Arabian Nights Volume 2: The Desolate One seems, as Miguel Gomes himself suggested, a very different film, connected to the first by the
framing device, theme and some of the performers (assuming different roles in the new installment) rather than through narrative continuation.
In the annoying
framing device that flashes back and forth in time far too frequently, we
see Lomax and Patti meet cute on a train.
But what initially seems to be just a literary
framing device, tying the film we're about to
see to A.A. Milne's original tales, turns out to be a much more involved conceit, as Pooh and the other characters talk back to the narrator and the actual words on the page of the book often become part of the story.
Brian Cox makes one squirm uncomfortably, but only because he has such a clichéd role as the present day storyteller — I haven't
seen a sincere form of this cheesy
framing device for years.
This feeling is only heightened by the film's
framing device, the conversation between FBI agent Wesley Doyle (the late Powers Boothe) and Fenton, the killer's son (played by Matthew McConaughey) who narrates much of the film, with it feeling like it's going to also double as a serial killer origin story, albeit one with a big twist that we think we can
see coming a mile off.
It's a brilliant
framing device that shows how the film
sees Internet communication not as a current events issue, but an issue of human relationships when faced with endless nothingness.
The editing is so smart, in fact, that it even pulls off the film's awkward
framing device, which
sees a young Burroughs writing the novel at his uncle's house.
Had that photographer
seen the documentary to follow, by the time this scene, used as a cyclical
framing device, is returned to, he'd understand why a smile might not be so forthcoming.
It's got all the hallmarks you'd expect: the
framing device set late in the subject's life designed as an obvious set - up to tell a life story (
see also: The Imitation Game, The Social Network) a score heavy on dreamy piano (
see also: The Theory of Everything), the ending title crawl explaining the rest of the principal characters» lives (
see also: every biopic ever... and Animal House).
Bracketed by a clumsy
framing device that
sees Bradley Whitford pretending he's in a documentary, ISTL begins with Hank's marriage to honky - tonk queen Audrey Sheppard (Elizabeth Olsen) and follows him through his rocky rise to post-war fame as «The Hillbilly Shakespeare».
Joseph may not be a terribly substantial work for the stage, but as
seen in this film version — whose school assembly
framing device nicely evokes the show's origins as a 15 - minute school performance piece — it's awfully fun.
We
see the age of SCORM coming through most clearly when learners have problems with pop - ups and
frames, or access learning on a mobile
device with an intermittent internet connection.
You can
see gaps between it and the
frame of the
device, and it comes off easily.
The Tab S2 has a more premium design though, with a metal
frame similar to the one
seen on
devices like the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Alpha.
It's worth pointing out that getting a direct - feed output from any iOS
device is a bit of an arcane art (the GPU has to serve two screens, effectively) so while the vid gives a great impression of the level of technical and artistic quality Epic has achieved, the
frame - rate in the actual demo is smoother than what you
see here.

People in today's society are attached to their
devices; we view the world through our phones, our TVs, our computers, and complete the gaps of the surrounding world through our unconscious mind, as if what we
see now is
framed by what the world looks like on screen.
Opening, closing, and switching between apps is smooth and snappy, the touch responsiveness is excellent, and the
device also handles graphic - intensive gaming comfortably, with no dropped
frames to be
seen.

As far as gaming is concerned, the
device is able to handle casual games with no trouble, but you will
see some
frame drops with more graphically - intensive games.

frame, of course, screams premium but again, this is not unique as we're
seeing metal widely adopted in most current flagship
devices.
The only
frame of reference at this point is a previously - leaked and rather fishy photo allegedly showcasing the
device, and the sketchy render at hand doesn't share any similarities with the unit previously
seen in the supposed live photo.
While it has long been surpassed by today's touch - screen
devices, the 3310 was heralded for its small, nearly indestructible
frame, as well as a handful of then - novel features and customization options, and it'll be interesting to
see how Nokia updates it.
As exclusively leaked by SamMobile earlier, the Galaxy Alpha's core, main
device frame and sides, are made out of aluminium instead of plastic, while Samsung is using the the same perforated back panel as
seen on the company's flagship smartphone, Galaxy S5, and tablet, Galaxy Tab S. Alpha is the first

Well, if look at the front side of any smartphone, you might
see that the edges — top, bottom, right and left — take up a lot of space in

frame on the side and it is a flat back this time, unlike the bump for the camera that was
seen on the Elife S5.5.
Finally, in terms of fit and finish, the new metal
frame surrounding the Note 4 is a nice touch that Samsung proudly touts, but the back of the phone is the same plasticky pleather we've
seen before on recent Samsung
devices.
It's also possible to
see the location of the charging port, which sits dead center in the bottom part of the phone
frame just as on all of HTC's
devices from last year, and while you can't
see what type of charging port it is it's quite likely that it will be USB Type - C, as the U12 will be a flagship phone for HTC and it hasn't used anything but USB Type - C on its major
devices for the past couple of years now.
You'll
see some
frame rate variance in titles that have advanced physics, but in our experience there's none of the game - ruining slow performance you
see in some mobile
devices where the processor is pushed beyond its limits by the screen resolution.
I
saw dropped
frames constantly and the
device would freeze up on a pretty regular basis.
You can also clearly
see what looks like a metal
frame at the edges of the
device's plastic shell, which makes sense since Samsung's soon - to - be-unveiled Galaxy Alpha is also expected to at least feature a metal
frame.
The latest leak highlights a more polished metallic
frame to the one we've
seen in earlier images of the
device.
The tech giant also boasted about the Pixel 2 lineup «s Active Edge, a pressure - sensitive
frame that allows you to physically squeeze your phone to perform customizable actions, in addition to emphasising the front - facing stereo speakers found on both
devices, as well as their Always - On Display technology that plays well with the new music ID service which users can enable to always
see info about any songs playing in their surroundings on their lock screen, with this particular feature even working offline.
Metal
frames could also be present on the new phones (suggested by the cuts for the antennas at the front of the
devices), which have only been
seen on Samsung's flagship smartphones and the Galaxy A lineup until now.
And what you
see above is an exclusive first look at that
device, with what appears to be a metal
frame and plastic sides.
I would like to stay in the electronics industry, because I get excited about
seeing how ideas are developed using electronic components, and how all of the parts (components, metal
frames, plastics, etc.) are manufactured and assembled into
devices that were a fantasy even 10 years ago.
