(Bronx, NY)-- State Senator Gustavo Rivera and Bronx CAN partners including, Kars for Kids, Union Community Health Center, Montefiore Medical Center and other community health partners, have joined together to host three events throughout the 33rd Senate Districts with free health screenings and over 2,000
free backpacks for kids in kindergarten through 8th grade.
Tuesday, August 4 QUEENS, NY — Borough President Melinda Katz and the Queens Center will
distribute free backpacks and school supplies to schoolchildren at several National Night Out events this evening starting at 5:15 pm at the 112th Precinct's event in MacDonald Park (Queens Boulevard Service Road and Yellowstone Boulevard).
WAMC, its generous listeners and the union I lead — New York State United Teachers — partnered this summer to

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., representatives gave out
free backpacks to students of MSD at the skating park at the Tamarac Sports Complex.
Students simply had to write down their name, email and student number and could take home one
