I actually never tried baking with a gluten -
free flour mix so I have no idea how they work... but let me know how it goes!

free mix after 1 cup
so I added 1/2 cup brown rice
flour and I can only tell a little bit that it's gritty but I was also looking for the grittiness since I knew I put it in there.

So we skipped the millet, and added chocolate chips (just over 1/2 cup), and Jules» gluten
free flour mix.

so I tried this recipe with gluten -
free flour mix and it came out dense and doughy.
I was trying to make it gluten
free and I ran out of gluten
free flour so I used a gluten
free shortbread cookie
mix.
My 5 yr old is now gluten
free so I used Pamela's
mix for the
flour and baking soda otherwise I followed this recipe and baked 30 - 35 min.
If you stray from the recipe below, one thing to keep in mind with adapting another recipe is that in general you will need to add a touch more gluten -
free flour mix or a little extra egg white to a traditional, «glutenous» recipe, but this is what has worked best for me
so far.
Once the meat is brown, sprinkle the
flour over the meat and drippings and then
mix it in
so that the
flour absorb all the drippings (* Skip this step if you are making it gluten
free *).
I didn't have whole wheat
flour so I used gluten -
free flour mix, which was fine.
My niece has stomach problems and is allergic to wheat, dairy and eggs
so I tried to make her lemon poppyseed mini cakes and used gluten
free flour, coconut oil and egg replacer, (recipe called for 2 1/4 cup
flour, 1 1/3 cup butter, 5 eggs) but when I
mixed it up it was like paste and liquid y on top, put it in the pan and baked it, (350) and the oil and water separated and came to the surface, looked like I was deep frying, needless to say it came out like hardtack, what's wrong??
Bought vegan breakfast patties can be
so expensive, and these satisfy the fast - food - like horrible / lovely cravings just fine I made them gluten
free by subbing the
flour and wheat bran with just over 1 and 1/2 cups of my usual gf
flour (1:1:1 of chickpea
flour: arrowroot
flour: almond meal + about 2 Tbsp ground flax meal + scant 1 / 2tsp xantham gum for every 1 cup of
mix) and they turned out fantastic!
Note: Gluten
free flour mixes are made up of various
flours and
so the consistency of pancake batters will vary.

mix 1:1 for the
flour in your recipe.

I didn't have all the ingredients
so substituted kefir cheese for the butter and gluten
free flour mix for the
flour.
Into a blender I put 4 extra large eggs, 8 oz of cut up cream cheese chunks, and a scant 1/4 cup gluten
free biscuit
mix (my personal favorite is made my a Denver gluten -
free bakery and the first ingredient is rice
flour...

It's such a beautiful wholesome
flour,
so full of flavour, and unlike many other gluten -
free flour mixes, the bread it produces does not dry out but is moist and great for sandwiches and toast alike, the day you bake it and the next day too.
i've realized that although i can make a mediocre baked good with a general «gluten
free flour mix» (either my own or store - bought), it's
so much more fun to experiment with different
flours for different uses: chickpea
flour in chocolate, soy
flour with banana, etc..!
Also as a student I've been incredibly luck in that for now I can get prescription
mixes so substitution will usually be important to me (although I'm looking at bulk buying gluten -
free granola grains and your recipes may persuade me to get
flours as well).

How To Use: Chickpea
flour works best in gluten -
free baking recipes when it makes up no more than 25 % of the total
flour content,
so mix and match it with other
flours for best results.
She doesn't have any dietary restrictions and can pretty much eat anything and stay her tiny 5 foot size 2,
so no gluten -
free flour mixes or dairy / egg replacers for this cake.
