cold snap across the eastern and middle parts
of the United States could be forgiven for thinking this sort
of cold was unprecedented.
And they note that
freezing to death could be a danger if early - spring warming periods, followed by
cold snaps, become common — something they observed in the spring
of 2012.
You've probably seen social media
snaps of other celebs — Moore included — stripping down to step into a
freezing cold cryotherapy chamber, which can be chilled as much as 300 degrees below Fahrenheit with the goal
of reducing inflammation, burning calories, and soothing sore muscles.
One side effect
of the recent
cold snap, during which morning temperatures hovered somewhere between the
freezing point and single digits, was noted by copy editor Rusty Blackwell, who found that «stop / start doesn't activate much, if at all, in the
cold December temperatures.»
It would a lot easier to plan vacation time if you know when the
cold snaps are coming and you need lots
of people on to handle
frozen water pipes.
This week's
cold snap has brought record - low temperatures,
freezing rain and heavy snow to much
of the United States.
During the extended
cold snap, parts
of the western U.S. were between eight to 10 degrees warmer than average while the east went into a deep
freeze.
