Diagnosis of these disorders is only made when the behaviours occur far more
frequently and are at a more severe level than for
other children of the same age, when they interfere seriously with relationships with
other children of the same age, when they interfere seriously with relationships with
others at home or at school, and when they cause ongoing disruption to learning and to the community
around them.
