Here's the formula I've discovered for making salads that I don't hate: some kind of greens, preferably
fresh from the farm + something sweet (usually fruit) + something crunchy (often nuts) + something creamy like avocado or cheese + plenty of pops of
color + a flavorful dressing that's just tart enough.

I was walking around at the Whole Foods
here in Denver yesterday and saw some gorgeous Colorado peaches that were just begging to come home and jump in my blender:) Just being around all of that
fresh, seasonal fruit inspires me to try new things, and late August in Colorado is bursting with
color and flavor!

colors of orange, harvest yellow, and brown but this year I've taken a completely different approach to fall (see

Fresh Approach To Fall:
Here I shared a fun fall home tour where I shared my approach to fall using an unconventional
color and accessories.

Even though I prefer the more neutral look from Friday it's fun to add some
color out
here too with just the addition of some
fresh flowers, pink lemonade and cupcakes.
But
here are some other tricks: add new light fixtures; clean windows, remove screens and take treatments down to let in natural light; never hide good views or scenery behind window treatments; put cream -
colored placemats on dark - wood dining tables; use
fresh, white towels in bathrooms (helps emphasize cleanliness with spa - like look); pull up carpets to expose hardwood floors.
