"Frog tape" refers to a type of masking tape that is designed specifically for painting. It has a special adhesive that helps to create sharp and clean paint lines, preventing any paint from bleeding or seeping under the tape. It is called
"frog tape" because it is green in color, resembling a frog.

BTW, I highly recommend using
green frog tape to tape off your walls when painting.
When I first told my husband, he was skeptical... but, with a
little frog tape and lots of color the rainbow wall was created!
I knew the trick about painting over the tape with the base color, but someone told me that they did nt have any problems with that
using frog tape.
(Make sure to use painters tape to tape the stencil down so it doesn't move while rolling, I'm a big fan
of Frog Tape.)
Thank you to

I
love Frog Tape because it does not let the paint bleed through which was important for me because Chalk Paint is thick and I was doing multiple coats.
I highly suggest using
Frog Tape because it will leave a clean line and it's easier to remove than other brands.

You didn't say, unless i completely missed it, at which point you took off
the frog tape.
I was thinking (probably from reading certain blogs) that
frog tape was better than the blue 3m.
We used
Frog tape for this one.
Once my tape was on, I painted on another layer of blue paint to seal my tape down so it wouldn't bleed (which isn't normally a problem with
Frog Tape... but just in case).
Also if You are just normally using
Frog Tape (not taping off stripes) once you place it down, go over it with a damp wash cloth on the edges.
Frog Tape has a special chemical on it and if it gets damp it seals it and you have less leakage (that's why when you paint the stripes it's good to go over it with the same color paint first, it needs the moisture).
(Ooops, pay no mind to
the Frog Tape that I neglected to remove from the shower head!)
I can't paint a straight line either... thank goodness for
frog tape!
