I hope you can answer this question for me — I have read on several websites that tempeh is
low fodmap, but I just read the following in Patsy Catsos's book «IBS — Free At Last» second edition, page 116: «Soy products such as soy milk, tempeh, miso and soy protein isolate......... do contain carbohydrates
from the soybean, so they are not allowed during the Elimination Phase of the
diet.»

FODMAPs are «fast food» for bacteria so if you go on a
low FODMAP you are essentially starving some of the bacteria and hopefully in the long run you could benefit
from the

from B.C. Canada I have had Severe Chronic U.C. (Ulcerative Colitis) for almost 2 decades, had Bowel surgeries for it, (j - pouch) then was able to eat any thing, now a few years later and a few pounds heavier I have been put on the

FODMAP diet by my GI specialist.
Not sure how it fits into the

Hello Kate... my husband returned
from the doctor today and she suggested he start following the
low Fodmap diet.
This is because almonds contain both fructans and GOS — they are allowed on the
low FODMAP diet in a 10 almond limit... BUT when you make almond milk you add LOTS of almonds — then add water — and the fructans and GOS (which are water - soluble) can leach
from the almonds right into the milk... then into your intestine.....
Could you recommend any hard and soft cheese that falls within the
low FODMAP diet and that is also not made
from cow milk.

I am currently trying to heal
from IBS (extreme distention), fructose malabsorption as well as regain normal menstrual cycles as I have amenorrhea and have had irregular periods and
low libido my whole life... I just started eating a
low fodmap diet and feelthe best that i have in years eating primarily white rice olive oil and fish.
The primary differences I notice with the
low -
FODMAP diet are less gas and relief
from nausea and bloating.
Can you tell me if Organic Clear Fiber
from Renew Life would be okay on a
low FODMAP diet.
We don't have access to all the recent foods that the Australians have tested so some of the
low FODMAP diet is based on info that is available
from various older sources and may not be that accurate.

FODMAPs back in via the re - introduction / challenge phase as soon as possible... though I admit, I do try to get them to feel about 95 % better first — if I can!
