I think some of the most successful blogs that I see
from authors are usually multi-contributor blogs, where you see like five or six thriller
authors or romance
authors or science fiction
authors get together, and that helps reduce a little bit of the burden and the pressure because you're trading off
blogging responsibilities, but you're also bringing together all of the different audiences you have, and there's a lot of good cross-pollination there.
Each
author publishes his / her stories independently
from the others but when it comes to the iffy bits (like creating the cover, proof - reading,
blogging, advertising) we stick together.

As it turns out, most of them are either by

I've not been
blogging for too long, it will have been a year by the end of this month, but have already received so many emails
from indie
authors.
This information was meant to help
authors reach more readers quickly, and have a successful launch on a budget without doing all the heavy - lifting that most
authors shy away
from (
blogging, listbuilding, etc).
Although I have worked in the IT industry for over 20 years and have a solid grasp of technology, and although I am a published
author who is active on social media, I came away
from Kristen's book with insights on how and where I need to improve my approach, especially to
blogging.
And lots of
authors have asked us for something similar so we are currently building a one - pager for them where they can aggregate all their information
from Amazon — so the books they have on Amazon — all their information
from Goodreads — so we'll have an integration with Goodreads — and also with all the traditional
blogging platforms like WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, so you can have your latest blogpost also on your profile.
Building a site with Blogger is an option, too, if you're interested in
blogging or setting up an
author website, and not selling anything
from your website.
