As with other Android tablets, pulling down
from the top reveals some quick settings for
Auto - rotate, Wireless,
Brightness and Settings.
When it comes to the
auto -
brightness sensor, nothing has changed
from my initial review.
Auto brightness is easy to disable, however, allowing you to choose
from a wide spectrum of
brightness.
Swiping drop - down
from the top of the screen (
from left edge to center of tablet) reveals the notification menu, while swiping down
from the top right side displays the quick settings menu, which includes
Brightness, Wi - Fi,
Auto - Rotate and Airplane mode.
The device also features ambient light sensors so it can
auto - adjust the
brightness of the over-the-screen lighting (which still emanates
from an array of LEDs hidden just beyond the visible screen area).
And, with the
brightness set to
auto, the Versa's battery lasted
from a Monday afternoon to a Friday morning before I had to charge it again.
While you are setting up your new iPhone, we advise you to set
auto - lock time to Never
from Settings → Display &
Brightness.
If you've disabled
Auto Brightness, enable it again
from Settings - > General - > Accessibility - > Display Accommodations.
In addition, LG has provided its Ultra Luminance technology to enable televisions to

There's also a huge gamut of
brightness,
from eye - searing to safe to read in bed, and the
auto -
brightness is actually useful.
There's no
auto brightness mode here, but for those moments when you have to use it out in the sun, you can enable the «Outdoors» mode
from the notification shade to further enhance
brightness levels.
Pull down
from the top of the phone with two fingers — or pull down twice with a single digit — and you get shortcuts to the
brightness slider, Wifi, Bluetooth, and cellular connections, airplane mode,
auto - rotate (does anyone actually ever turn that off?)
Brightness is also very good, and there's an ambient light - sensing
Auto mode, a feature that's sometimes omitted
from tablets.
Combined with tasteful
auto -
brightness, the G Flex 2 has some of the best outdoor visibility I've seen
from an AMOLED panel.
Many complained that the
brightness of the demonstrate changes when the person switches
from auto to manual mode.
As for

Auto brightness to prevent your phone

That panel itself hasn't changed
from last year — same 1080p Optic AMOLED, and it still works pretty well in most conditions, though
auto -
brightness tends towards darker levels than I'd like indoors.
It's quicker and a lot more functional to control the
brightness from the Control Center if you're the types who doesn't depend or trust iOS's
auto -
brightness feature.
However, the
auto -
brightness setting location has been moved
from that spot in the iOS 11 update.
(You can also toggle
Auto brightness by swiping down
from the top of the screen.)
Despite this,
auto brightness is available, something omitted
from last year's budget Lumia models.
Colours fade away and light levels drop rapidly when viewed
from odd angles, though overriding the
auto -
brightness can occasionally make things a little better.
The Outdoor mode (accessible
from the notifications shade) helps in bright daylight, but Samsung really needs to understand that removing the
auto -
brightness feature is one of the last things it should do when looking at how it can reduce the price of a smartphone.
Samsung also seems to have done a lot of work on the
auto -
brightness, which now no longer annoys the living hell out of us constantly, but instead does its job with the skill and sophistication we would expect
from a high - end device.
But the typical
auto -
brightness adjustment of the X Pro is overzealous the say the least, often seeing the screen far darker than it should be, leaving reflections
from the overly shiny surface all too prominent.
