from celebrity obsession to drug laws, should be categorized as a comedy or drama.

The movie has something to say about
celebrity obsession, although I think (hope) we have not quite got to the point of worshipping a
celebrity so much you would pay to be infected with a virus they had or eat meat genetically made
from them, as is shown here.
But so great is this culture's
obsession with her that Syd has developed a nice little side - line peddling her infections on the black market to a man who, by day, sells
celebrity steaks grown
from the cells of the star of your choosing.
And
from there it explores some incredibly ambitious and bold ideas about the future of entertainment and our society's
obsession with
celebrities and identity.
Working across different media, including performance, installation, collage and mail art, she continues to explore the lure of
celebrity in popular culture and the nature of being a «fan», often drawing
from her own childhood and teenage
obsessions while she was growing up in 70's America.
