I bought fingerling eggplants
from the farmer's market on Tuesday which I made into little eggplant parm (loose definition here)
ciabatta pizzas.
Our recipe for gluten - free
ciabatta bread — a slightly flattened Italian yeast bread that typically has having large air pockets within — comes
from a popular book called Gluten - Free on a Shoestring Bakes Bread, by Nicole Hunn.
My husband just adored it after coming home
from Tae Kwon Do class:) The soup, some spring mix and toasted
ciabatta — it was a huge hit!!!
Slice the
ciabatta in half horizontally and separate the top
from the bottom.
You get a glass of wine, freshly grilled seafood mix, juicy local lemons,
ciabatta bread straight
from the oven, and a lot of olive oil on your plate.
Judging
from the Chewy, Chunky Blondies; Margarita Cupcakes (I ate that frosting with a SPOON); Salted Caramel (yep, ate that with a spoon too); Salted Caramel Brownies; and
Ciabatta that I've made using your recipes, I'm pretty sure this will be a hit too.

ciabatta attempt... used my sourdough starter, the flour / water / salt ratios in your
ciabatta recipe and the method
from the tartine recipe.
Ingredients 3 1/2 -2 lb pumpkins, peeled and cut into 1 - inch cubes 6 leeks, white and light green parts only, halved and thinly sliced 1 stick butter 1/2 cup of water or stock 2 1/2 lbs hot or sweet Italian sausage (I used hot turkey), removed
from the casing 3 sweet onions, chopped 3 fennel bulbs, chopped 1 tbsp fresh chopped thyme leaves 1/4 cup dry white wine 4 loaves
ciabatta, cut into 1 inch cubes 4 cloves garlic, chopped 1/2 cup sage leaves, coarsely chopped 6 eggs, lightly beaten 2 cups chicken stock 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
Wet doughs such as
ciabatta can particularly benefit
from folding, but can also be challenging to fold.
Still, I find it hard not to indulge
from time to time, especially when my stomach starts growling at the coffee shop (where a panini costs $ 8), and I realize that I have half a loaf of
ciabatta and some pipérade sauce in a Tupperware container
from the night before that are just begging to be part of my lunch.
On the side, a nutty multigrain
ciabatta spread with more of that savory roasted garlic, and a lemon - and - oregano scented «ricotta» made
from tofu!
The vegan dishes on offer include Crostini al Funghi: sautéed mushrooms and kale in garlic and chilli on toasted
ciabatta; Polpette di Pane: a twist on a traditional dish
from Puglia, meat free bread balls of semi-dried tomatoes, garlic, capers and olives in a tomato sauce on spaghetti; and Orecchiette al Cavoflore: cauliflower purée, sautéed kale, chilli and roasted turmeric cauliflower florets.
The artisan bakery's
ciabatta bites will be showcased at this year's National Restaurant Association show

from the sides of the bowl, and comes together almost immediately.

There, I had to sample some «comfort food» and had a BBQ «brisket» (made

ciabatta bun, which was amazing.

ciabatta and a Diet Coke)
from a conference that I'm presenting at today.
