Hopefully the
game gets a second wind with this PC release as the console release failed to set the world alight even though it received positive
reviews from most major
game -
sites.
I remember when
review sites like this one were a true source for players to know if they should buy a
game or not, now it's just paid adverticement
from gaming companies.
@Chupert: Well I've never seen
games getting 0's and 1's
from magazines or
review sites.
Not only can you find multiple
reviews from dozens of
sites, but also an average score for each
game.
Reviews come with just a few quick words
from the
site or magazine that are vague at best and rarely ever help you ascertain why your latest
game flopped, leaving you in the dark as to what you might need to think about fixing for your next release, and that can be frustrating, especially if your company is on the verge of going bust and you really need to make your next
game sell but have no idea where to start — does it need to be a fraction more story - based, or perhaps you need to adjust the balance of graphics and sound.
Founded in 1999, GameRankings is a
site dedicated to aggregating
review scores
from both online and offline sources, to give users an overall picture of a
game's score.
This
site is part of the official Xbox Community Network, meaning the
games we get to
review come
from the very highest source... Xbox themselves!
However, if it is
from a
site or magazine that either, we could only get a few
reviews from, or only did a few
reviews, then it would raise a small number of
games causing their scores to be skewed.
Wow the article was very informative, thanks I have a degree in Communication, focus on digital film, and I want to start
reviewing video
games, however I want to focus more on video
reviews I have the necessary equipment, editing computer / software, HD PVR (To capture
game footage) I figured I'd put the
reviews on YouTube and advertise using forums
from various gaming
sites Any advice for an aspiring filmmaker /
game enthusiast who wants to try to garner a following on YouTube?
Most of the
reviews are
from no name
sites (noodle
gamer???????).
Then there are other
sites who purposefully give perfectly decent
games poor
reviews to generate revenue through clicks and ad views
from (rightfully) angry fans.
Arms (8.0) Gears of War 4 (8.0)
Games they consider as good with a 7.5 rating Splatoon 2 FFXV: Episode Prompto... yes just the episode Other really good, or at least decent
games they scored pitifully low Horizon: Zero Dawn (6.0) Mass Effect: Andromeda (4.5)... I know it's debated, but it's not a terrible
game Halo Wars 2 (5.5) Halo 5 SP campaing (6.0)... OK, that may be acceptable I guess, but then there's this Halo 5 MP (7.0) There is only one
site I know that doesn't just dish out high
reviews, and a 8
from them is considered a really good
game.
Despite being a graduate in literature I'd always been extremely shy about sharing any of my writing, so to post a
review of a
game and get positive comments was a lovely moment for me; my love affair with the
site grew
from there.
A
review from a
game site is just a professional opinion, and only an opinion.
Not sure if it's Windows XP - compatible, but an older
review at pinball
site LastBandit notes:» It's still not like the real thing (maybe try standing up at your desk and leaning yourself into the keyboard ends, drink and ashtray nearby) but it adds to the feel of playing pinball on a computer... I am disappointed in the lack of support this controller has received

It was actually developed by a school in Span
from what I understand (click below to the
review on Kobun's
site, and check the comments at the end of his
review where he discusses the genesis of the
game with one of the developers for more information on that).
The statement can be read in full here, however this in essence means those playing
games via keys purchased
from third - party
sites, or those that've been handed down
from developers, can not contribute to the
game's overall rating — even though
reviews filed in this way will still be universally visible.
All pointless arguments, both
games are receiving stellar
reviews from all
sites only because both are stellar
games.

I do nt care about the number score they gave or what
site the
review came
from, I could tell this
game whould be a HUGE letdown for ANY REAL NG fan out there.

I'd heard stories about the NBA 2K career mode offering the best sporting experience one could get

games, and Dave extolled the virtues of the series on this very

reviews from preceding years, but I'd yet to give it a chance.

The
game has received mixed
reviews from various
game sites.
The «Original» trailer contains snippets of
reviews from mainstream
game review sites in the first 10 seconds, and the «Edited» trailer has these
reviews removed.

game review sites around the web.
GTA IV has received rave
reviews from just about every video
game Web
site out there, including Gamespot, Gametrailers and IGN.

These
sites know
from the early builds how good a
game is going to be, yet they hype up every piece of junk... just to get more web
site visits... shame on you... then they release a scalding
review, wondering how anyone could ever release a
game this crappy.

My goal was to plow through it and write a
review for a web
site, likely saying «yeah, this is another mediocre
game from Success and Atlus.»
I'm just hypothesizing over what I've gleaned
from commenters on other
sites, as well as those who left their opinion on my
review of the
game (see below).
I try not to enter the debate about video
game reviewing, since it tends to be long and messy, but I will say that, apart
from Eurogamer's sophisticated and progressively interesting attitude to
reviews, the other
site I actually want to link to for
reviews on GSW is The New
Gamer, who just
reviewed WarioWare: Smooth Moves for Wii.
