real grated ginger - Used a little less than 1/2 C grapeseed oil (didn't measure — just read some of the above comments and didn't want to use too much oil

real winner.
The only
real differences
from the valentine's day version are that the cookies have ground
almonds instead of hazelnuts (as well as sprinkles to be like new year's confetti), and the meringues are swirly and colorful.
As it turns out,
almond milk is only made up of about 2 % of
real almonds, therefore lacking most of the healthy fat, protein, vitamins, and minerals you get
from eating the nuts in their solid form.
This fudge, on the other hand, is packed with healthy fats
from the coconut oil and
almond butter, is naturally sweetened with
real maple syrup, and it's just as delicious!

These ingredients are too processed to my taste (even though the
almond flour is itself processed, but that's a compromise) so if I can use
real egg whites fresh
from the eggs, I would gladly do it.
Filling (adapted
from Raw Food /
Real World) 1/2 cup chopped raw cashews 1 tablespoon sesame oil 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 1/4 cup agave syrup 1/2 cup lemon juice 2 tablespoon chopped ginger 1 small chili — seeded and chopped 11/2 tablespoon nama shoyu 1 cup raw
almond butter 1/2 head savoy cabbage — shredded 1 handful cilantro 1 handful basil — torn 1 handful mint leaves 1 large carrot — cut into thin strips 1 large mango — cut into strips 1 cucumber — seeded and cut into strips
I now make this same oatmeal in my kitchen, but I replace the brown sugar with pure maple syrup,
almond milk for the cows milk, and use coconut butter instead of
real butter to get the same creamy, slightly sweet effect, but with the ingredients I use
from day to day.
I've also made several batches of these Choco -
Almond Truffles that get all their sweetness
from the dates, but taste like
real chocolate truffles.
I buy this flour
from Real Food Source but other health shops should stock it (just make sure it isn't whole ground
almonds as sometimes the wording on the pack can be misleading).
