The kids love the tomato / onion / butter pasta sauce recipe you posted a while ago, and I often pair it with
frozen turkey meatballs from Trader Joe's when I'm too lazy to make my own (although those chicken meatballs you reference in the post are wonderful!).

Sometimes we plan ahead and saute up some ground beef or
turkey; some days, it's
frozen ikea
meatballs, because it's what we have.
And then I
freeze leftover sauce and use it as pizza sauce, make
turkey meatballs subs, etc..
Tip: Make a large batch of
turkey meatballs and
freeze in a zip - top bag to have on hand for a weeknight meal or party appetizer!
I have ground
turkey to use for the
meatballs so mine will not be
frozen....
I pack soup, of course, but also
turkey and bean chili; vegetarian chili; whole grain spaghetti and
turkey meatballs; steamed Asian dumplings; all - natural ravioli or tortellini; a
frozen, all - natural saag paneer (an Indian spinach dish) my daughter likes, and much more.
If you are a meat eater, throw seasoned
turkey meatballs in a slow cooker and
freeze the
meatballs, roast a whole chicken and use the leftovers for other recipes and make bone broth / chicken stock with the carcass, take your dried beans and make slow cooker beans to
freeze so you have them for soup and Mexican dishes, etc..
I also recommend the
frozen, bland, healthy
turkey kind of
meatballs to clients as training treats (cut into tiny pieces), but I like your variation much better.
