I take whatever fresh or
frozen veggies I have, add a protein (usually chickpeas or Gardein strips), toss them with teriyaki and soy sauce, mix it all with brown rice, and have dinner ready in 20 minutes.
I can almost always pull ingredients to make a wonderful meal from items I already have in my pantry and adding any fresh or
frozen veggies I have on hand.
Little known fun fact:
frozen veggies have been shown to be just as healthy as fresh... maybe even more so because they are frozen at the peak of their ripeness which is when they are most nutrient packed.
Frozen veggies have come a long way, and they can be a healthy and delicious meal addition.
Make canned soup even more nutritious by adding some of
those frozen veggies you have stocked away in the freezer!

have an allotment and I roast a lot of our

freeze on a tray, then bag and am able to use them in lots of different things.

I think the soup broth could definitely be made in advance and / or
frozen, but I'm not sure about the add ins... The soba,

would be worried about
freezing them and things getting weird / soggy.

've also placed herbs in an icecube tray, filled with my favorite stock and made
frozen «herb - cubes» It's a great way to flavor up a quick sauce or gravy,
veggies or soups!
And you can add whatever
veggies you happen to
have on hand — although using a
frozen veggie mix is awfully convenient!
Before we dive into the recipe, I want to make sure you know that

veggies are often just as nutritious and sometimes even more nutritious than fresh, depending on how far the «fresh» stuff

've got the freezer room, a delicious and frugal way to make it is: As you're trimming
veggies, put the fresh but not - quite - edible cast - off bits aside and
freeze them.
I ended up making 2 pans of ratatouille since I
had so many sliced
veggies leftover and the second (
frozen) batch was still delicious.

've frozen because they weren't going to be eaten before rotting.

frozen corn and lima beans - but overall didn't

Broccoli is one of those

veggies and even organic meat and wild fish.
I
'd say for the
frozen food, always keep some
frozen veggies like peas and spinach and a good brand of packaged organic cheese tortellini or ravioli in your freezer.

had some sliced baby bellas which I sautéed with the onion first, then added some mostly - cooked
frozen stir - fry
veggies.
Since we are in deep winter, I loath trips to the grocery store where I
have to lug back bags of
veggies in whipping winds and

has so many private label organic foods to choose from: almond butter,
frozen veggies, super greens, shredded coconut, spices, coffee... there are literally hundreds — at really good prices.
Meat Purees and Meat «Dinners» that you
have mixed may be
frozen just as you
would fruits or
veggies or combinations.
Frozen veggies / fruits are typically NOT cooked prior to
freezing and packaging; hence why you
have to cook and not just warm them.
I will
have to try making my
frozen veggies like that.
Remember, the
frozen fruits /
veggies that you purchase
have not been precooked (unless otherwise indicated on the label — do not buy these types if you find them).
Be sure to cook
frozen veggies as well, according to the package instructions and then puree as you
would if you were using fresh
veggies.
When you
freeze purees that you
have made from
frozen veggies or fruits, you
have cooked those
veggies / fruits.
But I buy organic
frozen veggies & can
have all the other ingredients on hand.

Having frozen veggies in your freezer means you can steam and
have them, or put them in a soup, or in a curry [heated from a pre-packaged bottle], or in a salad, or thrown in with rice in the cooker.
I told them they can cook a roast with onions, carrots and potatoes or make a soup with chicken or chunks of sirloin steak and a bag of
frozen veggies, fresh garlic, some sea salt and pepper... to taste [I just
had to add that:)-RSB-.
I haven't tried
freezing them yet but I'm sure it
would work well, and you're getting more
veggies in!
Use leftover vegetables if you
have them, or even
frozen mixed vegetables instead of the peas and carrots (use 3 heaping cups of
frozen veggies).
