Apparently I'm not much for following directions, because while doing research for this recipe I started reading several others and discovered most recipes have you add
the fruit after baking.
You can customize by using different nuts or seeds, adding some spice like cinnamon and maybe some dried
fruit after baking.
Make sure to add
the fruit after baking (putting it in the oven will dry it out), and feel free to improvise: swap out the apricots for dried cherries, the pistachios for walnuts, the cardamom for a little nutmeg.
Megan and Cindy suggest adding one cup of dried
fruit after baking, if desired.
Not exact matches
After yeast came
baking powder around 1850, an invention (originally called yeast powder) which was made
fruited breads (such as Scottish Bun) into cake - vastly changing the texture, taste, crumb, and concept of
fruit bread.
You can do a lot of things with a Dutch baby, but in basic terms you can
bake the
fruit into it, or put it into the bowl - shaped pancake
after.
If you are hiking or working out, it is easy to increase the nutrient and calorie density by throwing in nuts (before or
after baking) and / or dried
fruits.
You don't need a lot of this, but doing so will help the
fruit achieve a nice sheen
after baking.
Luckily my freezer has plenty of space, so
after we eat some and
bake with some, I put a few bags of washed, prepped
fruit into the freezer for later.

Baked» Cinnamon Apples for a while, I wondered if I could do the same thing for different
fruits.
Toss in some dried
fruit after it's done
baking, and then (here's the secret) let it cool right there in the pan.

My kids are usually ravenous
after school and when they were younger (and I was a much better parent) I had a snack ready for them — usually cut - up
fruit and something a little more substantial, like
baked corn chips with melted cheese, hummus or guacamole, a bowl of cereal, or, if I was really on my game, a homemade, whole - grain - and -
fruit muffin.
While I enjoyed all the
baked goods people brought me
after Lucas was born, one of my favorite post-birth gifts was a fancy
fruit basket from www.manhattanfruitier.com (maybe you can ask them to just send the
fruit, sans basket?)
You can freeze this recipe once
baked, but don't add the whipped topping and
fruit until
after thawing.
* If you like your granola with dried
fruit, you can always add a small handful of your favourites
after the granola has cooked — don't add it before
baking!

After baking the
fruit, they cook down into softened
fruit surrounded by thick jam.
However, I do remember her making her famous
fruit cakes that took 10 - 12 hours to mature before
baking, then she would cover them with cheesecloth (we did nt have saran wrap)
after the cakes were
baked and cooled, would then pour something over the top, my guess it was some sort of liqueur, probably Rum?
After their first few initial successes, students voted to make organic
fruit smoothies for one dollar each at their next
bake sale.
I use anything that I think is tasty but I put the dried
fruit and already toasted nuts in the oatmeal mix,
after it is
baked and cooled... I buy diced
fruit and what isn't diced, I dice them..
