I used
Fuji apples that I had in my fridge and they
worked beautifully.
Crisp, sweet
apple varieties
work best in salads — try Jonagold, Jonathan, Gala,
Fuji, Honeycrisp or Braeburn.
The only thing I would do is add a touch of cinnamon but just a pinch to add to the
apples:) The combination I found that
worked well for me were Organic Honey - crisp and
Fuji apples.
You mentioned using Baldwin, Braeburn, Cortland,
Fuji, Gala or Granny Smith
apples, but I wonder if these particular
apples will
work just as well?
I used an organic Gala
apple in the recipe, but
Fuji, Honeycrisp, or a tart, crisp Granny Smith
apple would
work well here too.
