I would try to focus more on
full body weight programs (incorporate both upper and lower body into the same workout).
If you are a beginner I would recommend doing
a full body weights program (i.e. work your upper and lower body at the same time).
I would do
full body weights programs rather than targeting your legs specifically on one day.

I would totally change up your
program (it's always good to do this once in a while) and do
full body resistance workouts, using light
weight and high rep, and not spending as much focus on legs.
Instead, to accommodate my desire to start at home, Sly put me on an exercise
program that helped me gain 10 pounds of muscle just using a pull - up bar, a backpack
full of college textbooks, and my own
body weight.

weight lifting (compound exercises)-- the types of exercise that builds different muscle groups all at the same time, vs isolated muscle building when you use machine
weights for example.
