At the moment it's hard to say exactly how
fun the multiplayer aspect will be, but considering how solid the shooting and close up action is looking and the well - balanced class designs it should be a blast to play.
Now combine that with
a fun multiplayer aspect, and Nintendo has a hit on their hands.

This mode screws up the
aspect ratio of the game in exactly the same way split - screen
multiplayer did in Sonic 2, which is either a
fun nostalgic nod or a strange annoyance depending on how fondly you look back at the quirks of a game from 25 years ago.
There's definitely a lot of content in this game and given the local and online
multiplayer aspect, it's definitely going to be a
fun one to race against your friends for the best scores.
It's still
fun but if the developers put a little more effort into the
multiplayer aspect of Beat the Beat, it could have been the next big party game hit.
While we once may have played Quake or Halo or Age of Empires for the
fun of it in addition to the competition, there are so many
multiplayer titles we play these days for the competition
aspects first, the
fun sometimes be damned.
Another
fun aspect of the game lies in finding the «killer» weapon / item combo that gives you an edge in a
multiplayer Death Match.
I've played all the Battlefields and this is still a
fun game, especially the
multiplayer aspect.
