Magnolia Pictures has released the first Force Majeure trailer for writer / director Ruben Östlund's wickedly
funny new film, which was one of my favorites of the Toronto International Film Festival (read my review here).
«The Square,» Östlund's rich, expansive and often savagely
funny new film, begins as a sharp sendup of the goings - on at a contemporary art museum.
Armando Iannucci plays funny business with accents in his mordantly
funny new film The Death of Stalin, as Russian Communist party apparatchiks are exhumed by a slew of British and American character actors who all retain their natural accents.
Yet, as this quirky and
funny new film shows, it's not a terminal condition.

Featuring Aubrey Plaza (
Funny People), Mark Duplass (Humpday), and «
New Girl» star Jake M. Johnson, this has all the makings of a quirky comedy, even if there ends up not actually being any time traveling in the
film.
It's the
funniest horror
film since «Evil Dead 2», the smartest since «
New Nightmare» and surely one of the most breathlessly entertaining, original movies of the year.
Typically of an Anderson
film, the cast is a who's - who of Hollywood talent, including Tilda Swinton, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton and Bill Murray, while the
New England setting proves utterly apt for this
funny, romantic (and admittedly, slightly warped) love story.
