of cash that GTA Online is raking in, as well as the serious post-launch attention it has been receiving content-wise, it isn't hard to worry about what kind

future this might mean for other
Rockstar titles — and this is where the statement relevant to Red Dead Redemption 2 comes into the picture.

As for the more immediate
future, there's a lot
of speculation that next Red Dead game will be revealed this year, but there's a big question over where it could be the first to use a new
Rockstar engine.
Finally,
Rockstar revealed that it has plenty more planned for the
future of Grand Theft Auto Online beyond Smuggler's Run, with several new four wheeled vehicles coming over the course
of the next few weeks, in addition to new competitive Adversary Modes, and holiday celebrations for Halloween and the December holidays too.
In a recent Asked & Answered session,
Rockstar responded to a question about a possible sequel to Red Dead Redemption, stating that while there was nothing to announce, fans should «stay tuned for further announcements about the
future of the Red Dead series».
And while I argued that this meant the doors weren't open for an avalanche
of Rockstar titles to come to the Switch, I still believe Grand Theft Auto will make the move in the
future.
