This course is designed to help
future and current teachers of culturally and linguistically diverse elementary school students to (1) understand, develop, and implement a range of effective, practical strategies for assessing and documenting the academic achievement of their students, including English Learners, students with identified / unidentified exceptionalities, and students eligible for free or reduced price lunch (TPEs 1.1, 2.2, 3.5, 4.4, and 5.1 - 5.8); (2) develop the skills and habits of mind necessary to use assessment results to
plan effective instruction for every student (TPEs 3.5, 4.4, and 5.1 - 5.8); (3)
learn how to present and discuss assessment results with other education
professionals and with students» parents (TPEs 1.2, 2.6, 3.2, 4.5, 5.1 - 5.8).
New
plans for 2016 include a Web site resource center for ongoing
professional learning opportunities, as well as five regional
Future Ready summits in 2016 for districts where the superintendent has signed the
Future Ready District Pledge.
This applied
professional development has given teachers an opportunity to refresh their lesson
plans and give them immediate feedback on their growth so that the
learning curve is not only effective, but a sustainable model for
future use in their regular teaching practice.
We always have work to do including
planning for collection development; curating resources; collaborating on instructional design, delivery and assessment; catching up on
professional reading; attending
professional development events in person and virtually; and generally thinking about the past year as we consider ways to improve and benefit our respective
learning communities in the
future.
The powerful line - up of events continues with Global Business Travel Association's (GBTA) one day business travel forum where participants will hear about the latest economic forecasts on business travel spend in the region, and
learn new insights that will help travel
professionals successfully
plan for the
future.
We don't believe in a «one size fits all» approach to website design which means we take time to
learn all about your practice, from your history,
professionals and past successes, to the types of clients you serve and your
plans for
future growth.
However, it was not always the highlights that moulded me in my
professional career but more those events where things did not go to
plan; this was where I
learned most from for the
future, as I imagine is the same for many lawyers».
