Two prominent U.S. Government scientists made two separate admissions questioning the reliability of climate models used to predict warming
decades and hundreds of
years into the
future.
On the basis of well - established evidence from the past 20
years, there is now wide consensus among scientific organizations
and approximately 97 % of climatologists that human - generated greenhouse gas emissions are the cause of climate change.1 — 4 Although the effects of climate change are already being felt across the world, the magnitude of the effects of
future changes depends on our ability to substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions
and implement adaptation strategies within the ensuing
decades.5 Thus, it remains possible to protect children, families,
and communities from the worst potential effects of climate change.
It is a question Richard Susskind considered more than a
decade ago in his book, «The
Future of Law,»
and again in last
year's book, «The End of Lawyers?
Think about
and discuss where both of you want to be 2
years, a
decade, or even further into the
future.
With the amount of PBCs registered over the last
decade double that of the previous 11
years,
and with further registrations expected in the near
future, AIATSIS has commenced the PBC Capability Project to provide insight
and research into the expanding PBC sector
and the post-determination landscape.
