Many of the
tiny houses we show on TreeHugger have a decidedly traditional look, with
gabled roofs and cutesy details.
We started out with a 8 ′ -4 ″ x 24 ′ trailer, added a 30 degree vee nose similar to
Tiny House Lab, but then applied the Shedsistence longitudinal asymmetric
gable, perhaps more easily thought of as a front to rear shed
roof with a ridge break and smaller beaver tail on the rear.
The shed
roof is better than the
gabled roof that I've seen on maybe 90 % or more
tiny houses.
Wood siding,
gable roof lines,
tiny front porch, you know the look.
Whether it's a modernist gem or a gypsy - styled vardo, it's a delight to see
tiny homes that deviate away from the «typical»
tiny house floor plan and ditch the
gable roof.
