Not exact matches
With the Internet of Things (IoT) bringing connectivity to what were formerly «dumb» pieces of hardware (
like locks), and new
gadgets that didn't exist a decade ago (
like smartwatches), it's a whole new world.
Accenture's survey doesn't hint at any big increase in sales of wearable devices, an emerging category that includes devices

like Pebble Steel, and the general consensus of those we polled was that it's a more handsome timepiece that fits more readily those in the shirt - and - tie brigade where the plastic version proved more questionable.
Nowhere in the FCC listing does Samsung actually list that the Gear Sport is a
smartwatch per - say, but the rounded body of the
gadget indicates that it will have a
smartwatch -
like appearance at the very least.
Its new Android Wear platform, which is designed to power all sorts of wearable
gadgets but will start with
smartwatches, represents a serious threat to competing devices
like the Pebble Steel and upcoming challengers
like the Samsung Gear 2.
The Moto 360 is the first
smartwatch that actually looks
like a watch, which goes a long way toward bringing these nascent
gadgets into the mainstream.
