With this exhibition, Galerie SOON is showing two strong young positions in contemporary Chinese art — discoveries that
gallerists made in 2017 during studio visits to Beijing.
As a gallery owner, publisher and art business writer (not to mention the wife of an artist who has gone through every stage of becoming a professional), I've learned the rationales behind the decisions
a gallerist makes when deciding which artists to represent.

The show is curated by Carlo McCormick and
gallerist Eric Firestone to explore the ways America's pastime is
making its way into contemporary art, why we care about the game and the ways it restores belief in heroes and come - back stories.
The term «Multiple» was first coined by Paris
gallerist Denise Rene in 1966 to describe the works
made by her stable of artists; she also tried (unsuccessfully) to copyright the term.
