I have become very
interested in Alex Hubbards» work, having first
seen a painting of his at the Indiscipline show at the Mead
Gallery, his work
was also one of the a subjects of discussion at the event with Bob Nickas entitled The Trouble with Harry, at Mead on 3 March 2012, where the show Eat Your Friends at Simon Lee

am just depressed that the motif has
been seized upon by those
seeing the marketability, putting her real work
in the shade: the
galleries choosing the dots to make oo - wow rooms instead of
interesting individual wall paintings; Louis Vuitton; traders selling pumpkins; and now Tate Modern and Airbnb.
That widespread practice of stealing golden geese from other
galleries does not typically make for warm and fuzzy friendships, particularly when tens of millions of dollars
are potentially at stake over the course of an artist's career, and these recent arrangements have come from rare situations where dealers can work together for the sake of a shared
interest in an artist — or when they both
see an opportunity to make more money.

gallery space, it could equally occupy an entire corridor wing of the Museum, and as a work
in the IMMA Collection, it will
be interesting to
see how future «users» configure the elements.
SO What
interests me about the show you had last year at Lennon, Weinberg
Gallery, and what attracted me to Stella's current work
is that they
're both desperate; I don't
see that
in younger painters» work — this incredible desperation to get it all
in there, to load up the work and cover all bases.
With an exhibition of spot paintings planned next year to take place simultaneously
in all of Larry Gagosian's 12 international
galleries, it will
be interesting to
see whether Hirst can defy a gloomy economic situation a second time round.
Brandt said the
gallery is particularly
interested to
see whether The Armory Show delivers a different sort of collector than the fair's main competitor
in the city, Frieze New York, where it has regularly exhibited.
Everywhere you look
in art fairs,
galleries, and many museums, you'll
see contemporary photography — it
's often more
interesting than other forms of contemporary art, at least to the public.
Consequently de Ville has also stated that although the History Paintings
are quite conceptually driven, they
are also designed to show that different pigments «all have their own nuanced identities», evidencing an

When I
was invited by YAY
gallery in Baku to take the solo exhibition TalkCloud, by Mahmoud Bakhshi, to Azerbaijan, I thought it
was an
interesting opportunity to show the work
in a context where it would have a multitude of historical references, and
see how a project that touches upon the issues which have resonance
in the country's history would interact with local audiences.
The title of her first solo exhibition
in eight years at Tokyo's Kaikai Kiki
Gallery, and its central work, May All Things Dissolve
in the Ocean of Bliss, represent the artist's renewed
interest in Indian philosophy and the idea that everything we
see is part of a collective unconscious.
It
is, as everyone says, a remarkable building, and it
's interesting to
see art shown
in darkened rooms —
in fact, it
's the first time I've really experienced a
gallery that since the South Bank iteration of the Saatchi
gallery in London.
Tyburn
Gallery opened Broken English featuring 15 artists
in September and it has
been fantastic to
see so much
interest from both the public and collectors.
Along with a group show
in the on - site
gallery, everyone
is sure to
see something that piques
interest, provokes responses and enlightens.
Lindsay Howard
is a curator, researcher, and
gallery director based
in New York City, whose work
is informed by what she
sees as an essential shift
in contemporary culture, specifically a growing
interest in collaborative creativity, open source philosophy, and unlimited access to information.
It
is interesting to
see this work
in relation to Glare, a handwritten text that slants down and across a corner of the
gallery, from floor to ceiling.
