The podcast, formerly
Game Devs Like You, has been retitled to Gamkedo.Community, but it's still going now after a year.

like the
devs decided that just doing the bare minimum for the sequel style
games would suffice because of how well the first
games were received.
I have a 360 / wii but my tv upscales my wii
games to 720p with no hit on frame rate and all i can say is oh my MH3 has graphics that prove the wii to be almost equal to my 360 i mean it looks awesome in 480p but nintendo need to give
devs a new SDK 2.2 that supports 720p then
games like this honestly sit right next to 360 graphics its that good yes SDK 2.1 indicates that HD is locked via firmware not restricted by wii hardware so hopefully thats something they will sort out at E3 this june wow MH3 1 of the best
games i have ever played.
And then the
devs decided to throw in the nuke subs from before just to keep things interesting... It's a truly bold
game design, and I hope it succeeds so more

It wouldn't suprise me if
devs are rushing their
games a bit in order to get them on shop shelves before the giants
like Battlefield3, MW3, Uncharted3 and Batman make an appearence.
When something
like that happens in the
game dev industry it's always sad news.

now when the nextbox and ps4 come out we will be relying on
devs who want to work on the wiiU for third party

like it's going to be lightyears apart which

like working with to start off with.

The
game is perfectly solo - able if you can «git gud» enough for some of the post-story content, and it isn't
like an online mobile title that will lock you out of the
game once the
dev / publisher decides to pull the plug on it's online support.
what a joke over 400 hundred comments yet this article stays @ 750 degrees and Naughty dog
devs saying they cant believe nobody found their hidden secrets in tlou is 1020 degrees with 75 comments smh.I
like coming here for various news but honestly be balanced this is ridiculous we can have a prefrence but we should be
gamers first
games are created, crafted, designed, coded, scripted and entirely build on pc and then PORTED to console even console exculsives are made on a gaming rig, then shrunk down to work on consoles, thats why
devs always have those nice screenshots to show you months before release and then the
game comes out on console and looks nothing
like the up - rezzed, highly anti aliasied screens of the pc shots they showed that is why, when there is a pc version, it is always far superior sleeping dogs and hitman absolution are perfect examples, the pc versions look two generations beyond the console versions
Seems
like a lot of
devs take the easy way out and make the
game on the 360 or PC first and then just do a quick port of it to PS3 and it comes out
like junk.

like owning some bad
games and analyze what went wrong with their overall vision and what not (

game out, and if I do
like it I'll definitely try and buy the
game again to support the
devs.
thats another thing,
like a post above, i do nt care what tricks they use to make a
game look photrealistic or look amazing, thats not tricks ot me, thats better devving, better
devs learn the system and learn new techniques, so those tricks are actually new technioques that make the image appear better, ill take that over a
dev that cant make better graphics anyday, as long as the gameplay is good.
Both can do the same thing (
Game streaming or cloud computing) if they wanted. Why MS is trying it is because on
like Sony they have the established infrastructure to attempt it and provide access to all
devs Sony don't as seen from their purchase of Gaikai.
its nice to see
devs making
games run at 1080p but there is more they can do with the ps4 over the x1 as it is not just resolution that the ps4 is better than the x1 at it can do much more onscreen effects ect with no slow down i would
like to see
devs taking advantage of this and not just giving us a higher res version of the same
game.
Indies
devs who are dumb and make shitty
games must be mad now since they can't trick people into buying their useless
games anymore, I'm glad steam took this approach it's the best for everyone if the
devs don't
like it then they can fu * k off

Game Boy Advance SP: http://nintendo-online.de/upload/images/2016/03/09/136120641356e03cc6097de3-91806791.jpg — Bonus fact 2: The
dev team also experimented with a fold up model for the
Game Boy Advance, the
like of which the GBA SP and the DS are.
You see things are constantly changing, we may all want gaming to remain static so we can play our
games the same way we did 10 years ago but manufacturers, publishers and
devs are going to continue pushing on the digital side due to the ever increasing economics of
game development costs, yet
gamers still pay $ 60
like last gen and continue to turn up their nose at any new IP that isn't trying technically outdo what's come before.
That's what I
like about
games that have a currency you purchase for cash which most publishers and
devs are completely oblivious or too greedy to do, which is to allow
gamers to also earn that currency just by putting time into the
game.
Not surprised to see the Rocksteady

likes Metroid Prime a lot, you can certainly see the Metroid influence in the open ended nature of the Batman: Arkham

-
dev starts with rough 3D models of a stage from the level directo - includes wireframe sketch of the sand - surfing section of the Jakku level - the team will open up the level into the
game's engine and play it - that early concept is transformed with their 2D artists - artists can turn out images that capture the essence of what a level might look or feel
like in a couple of days - might take six weeks to do a final pass on a level - feedback from designers and other members of the development team comes in every few days - once sketches are approved, the level is passed along to the environment artists - their job includes building the props and assets that fill levels - after the level is «built» Pick takes a look to ensure that it looks good and is consistent to the
game as a whole - levels get played hundreds of time by the
game's completion
God damn, if he just worked up that tiny bit of courage to walk right in I feel
like he'd be in a much stronger position as a
dev... Maybe making more memorable
games too.
«I don't think the answer is trying to make turn - based
games more mainstream because...» I don't have the answer either but the author of this article thinks that more traditional JRPG's

- despite the new business partnership with Cygames, Nintendo is very satisfied with its mobile business - they are also happy with the various projects created in partnership with DeNA, and their relationship will continue - Nintendo is trying to expand its lineup of mobile
games - Cygames had a plan for a title that was very deep and Nintendo thought it was important to develop and operate it jointly - DeNA doesn't just support Nintendo's mobile applications, but also its Nintendo Account system with tech and
dev support - those areas of Nintendo's partnership will also continue - Nintendo is open to partner with other companies as well in the future - by using Nintendo IP in mobile apps, the company wants to spread awareness about Nintendo's characters - ultimately they'd
like it to become synergistic with the console business - Nintendo wants to make mobile
games one of the pillars of revenue - it's not enough to just expand dedicated internal development resources for this goal - this is why Nintendo is looking for possibilities to do it externally as well - Nintendo thought that Cygames» plan with Dragalia Lost was common ground for the companies, so they decided to partner - one important factor to think about when managing a company
like Nintendo is that its products aren't daily necessities - Nintendo creates entertainment and fun, and the essence of its business will remain unchanged - Nintendo says it's a high - risk business, and there are times in which performance could be good or bad - Nintendo will continue to create specialized gaming hardware and software for the world - the aim is to be successful every time, but sometimes it will work out, and sometimes it won't - instead of thinking «I can't do this» they'd rather think «what can we do to continuously tighten our relationship with the customers?»
But that's a problem these days because
games that
devs make in Japan
like DOA beach volleyball etc can't even get released in America because of the increasingly puritanical media brought on by feminism.
I disagree, I still think turn based RPG's are pretty niche, Persona has been around for decades and is STILL considered niche, simply because unlike Final Fantasy it isn't mainstream, i'm hoping that in time JRPG
devs or
devs in general would look towards
games like Persona 5 as their influences vs
games like Final Fantasy 15, which while good in it's own right had a lot of issues and seemed to be rushed to the point where an entire story chapter had to be added, and new features are still being added to make the
game better.

game never stops holding your hand,
like the

like lack or poor aa soluctions i find this very disgusting, what the point of have a better hardware that can run my
games better and
devs keep forcing this crap parity?
