game on crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, which has already featured the campaign in their «Projects We Love» and «Project of the Day» sections.

on crowdfunding platform Indiegogo to help it find its next home - run
game idea.
A lot of creators have taken to
crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo to gain support and funding for
games that have gone
on to be hugely successful, and this is now a fairly viable route to go down if you are a private
game developer with an idea people will find appealing.
Be sure to keep an eye

Quo Vadis was great again this year, very interesting discussions there and a LOT of discussions
on crowdfunding... That intrigued me, so I looked at the statistics for video
game projects and where they are coming from
on Kickstarter (the most discussed
platform then).
Neorj, a 3D adventure - based platformer
game for Windows, Mac, and Linux, has been launched
on the popular
crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, with the goal of attaining $ 15,000 of funding.
The minimum required quality to launch a
crowdfunding campaign for a video
game is such (beautiful assets, good video, demonstrable gameplay) that it wouldn't be surprising if many projects considering
crowdfunding simply decided to skip it, and go in Early Access instead, with the idea to be able to start getting revenue regularly directly
on the main
platform the
game is sold
on to the end users.
It seems that there's only ever a limited volume of such large projects considering
crowdfunding, meaning there will be a visible effect
on the overall performance for the video
games category in
crowdfunding in any given year based
on the volume of these high performance projects — there will naturally be years where lower numbers of these big projects come to the
platform due to factors such as the long development cycles.
Square Enix has announced that it is looking for developer submissions for
game ideas based
on Eidos properties Gex, Fear Effect and Anachronox as part of the Square Enix Collective
crowdfunding platform.
At the recent GamesIndustry.biz Investment Summit
on 22nd September 2016 at EGX Birmingham, Kickstarter provided some slides for a very handy state - of - play of the
platform's
games activity, as well as a collection of extremely useful bits of info for
games developers looking at running their own
crowdfunding campaign.

games publishing routes.
