It seems my peers have jumped on a bandwagon, claiming the game to be nearly unplayable due to extensive
gameplay foibles and an incoherent story.

An unflinchingly tough, sometimes frustrating experience, Futuridium EP Deluxe just about has the
gameplay so you can see past its
foibles.
Admittedly, it was still a bit too heavy on the codec dialogue sequences - including a particularly dreadful bit of pacing near the start of the game - but with genuinely great storytelling and
gameplay on offer, it's hard not to be in a forgiving mood for such
foibles.
On balance, then, the core
gameplay experience of Shadow of War is a lot of fun and greatly improved over the first, if not without its
foibles.
