To keep
the gameplay screen completely unaltered, we decided to leverage another unique feature of the Wii U — the GamePad and its second screen!
The 3DS seems like it'll use a similar touch mechanic, but it'll be more intuitive on the Vita because
the gameplay screen is the touch surface.
The English language version of the footage has now been released, as well as
some gameplay screens from the upcoming title which can be seen below.
If every game had the touch screen functionality, then the whole point of «switching the main
gameplay screen from the TV to the controller screen, while the TV is used for something else» point doesn't really work because now you can't use the touch screen because it is now the main gameplay screen.
The dual - screen presentation keeps your resource inventory free from cluttering
the gameplay screen.
