teams where we get so much space and time on the ball he looks fine, but when it matters in
games of equal or better
quality he never shows up.
One factor that has mitigated
against Rosicky getting much
game time is, there are many top
quality younger Gunners in the Arsenal starting
team and on their bench who are considered to be ahead of Rosicky in the selection order of the
team of the day to play a
game.
The past two weeks they have gotten back to their original
Game and have gutted out big Wins over extremely
quality opponents including this past Sunday
against the Defending Champs
Team Gutman.
We still struggle, look shaky and uncomfortable when we come up
against any
team that plays a high intensity
game,
teams that don't give us time on the ball, in your face etc all give us a hard time, Watford did that in the first half but poor final 3rd
quality saved us, in the second half they were tired and knackered so we took advantage.
Good
teams have the resilience and drive to bounce back from defeat, and while I do not doubt that Arsenal have the
quality to do so in our next
game against Southampton, it is these sort of
games that may prove just how much we want it.

team to secure 3 points at Anfield
But I think what people want / expect are 4 - 5
games against teams that are roughly in the same ballpark with regards to the opposition's
quality of player / coaching.
We started well and controlled the
game against a side who are good, you can see it's a
quality team, but once we opened the score I think we were in control.
Crystal palace, Leicester, QPR, Newcastle etc all stepped up their pressing
games and we were all over the place, having more
quality individual players gets us out of problems, but when we come up
against teams on somewhat our level or better then us we mostly lose or draw at best.
Arsenal rarely turn up in the first half of
games, which results in us just about getting away with it
against the lesser
teams, but getting found out pretty much any time we come up
against quality opponents.
The Foxes next
game is
against the
team we beat on Monday, possibly favourites for the title because of the depth and
quality their squad, and 3rd placed and 3 points off the top — Manchester City.
I'm also selling high on both home
teams — Everton have been able to win and draw
games without playing well, so I expect that to end
against a
quality Chelsea side.
We still need an additional
quality DM — whether Scheiderlin or Kondogbia — a) for rotation b) to help Le Coq develop to next level and c) so that we can compete more effectively
against the bigger
teams when we will need 2 DMs for away
games COYG and well done Francis
Yes, we had some chances ourselves but our lack of
quality, strength in depth and ball watching
team deserved to loose
against a
team who go out to play the
game.
The way we approach
games against teams with similar
quality is a sign of maturity, I honestly feel that there is no
team in England that can stop us... COYG
So after 4 competitive
games we can see the makings of a squad that can't compete for EPL or cl... Bringing in rotation players won't change the equation as we already have too many mediocre performers... if we bring in
quality DM and attacker I think we can have a first
team to match the best and hope fitness and injuries aren't
against us... otherwise it's another underperforming season ahead
