I've greatly enjoyed the chance to play through Tropical Freeze again, though as one of the few that does own a Wii U, and a copy of that
game I've
got to also accept that I'm not really the target audience for such a vanilla
porting effort.
That being said, Dragon's Crown Pro is a direct
port of a really wonderful
game, and it's still the most sublime, brilliant fun, and it only
gets better the more people you share it with.
However, the
port was clearly pushed out to
get a few thousand more copies sold, rather than to improve upon the original
game.
A pretty good job

game, but if you don't
get into this
game for the sake of make a run at the top of the leaderboard, or if you're not a shooter aficionado, you're probably not going to be to enthralled by this

game (Monster Hunter 3).
So far the only
game I've really heard Wii U owners
getting excited over was a
port of Deus Ex Human Revolution, and when all the hype for a
game on your system is just a
port your doing something wrong.
The compromised controls don't ruin what is still a fun
game to this day, but the lack of precision certainly makes it feel like an inferior
port if you have the option to
get it on PS3, Vita or PC.

It's true that the
ports may be done to
get some quality titles onto the Switch early on, but I think it's also something of a testament to both the longevity of Nintendo's titles, and the quality the Wii U brought to Nintendo's franchises (seriously, the

ports will have an additional mode included, with PC
gamers will also
get an update which will include the bonus features.
Sure, it became backwards compatible on the Xbox One, and you can also play it on the PS4, and while a remaster hasn't been as hotly requested as a PC
port, fans would no doubt be all over the idea of seeing the
game get a modern makeover.

There's some high - profile
ports like Captain Toad and Donkey Kong Country coming, plus newcomers like Smash Bros and Mario Tennis Aces — and that's without
getting into third - party
games.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
got great reviews, as well as good sales, and would be a really good
game to
port to Switch.
Although I've played the first «Resident Evil»
game back when they
ported it to the PC, way back when, I never
got much into its story, merely looking for some escapist action and a few nasty scenes causing me to keep on edge.
For those who don't remember, during last year's PlayStation Experience we
got the first gameplay footage of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, the Chalice Dungeon footage for Bloodborne, the reveal of Street Fighter V for PS4 and PC, the PC
port of Final Fantasy VII for PS4 (heh) and many more
games announcements.
I want Nintendo to
port all the Wii U
games to Switch, at least the ones I own, so I can
get a Switch and lay down the Wii U in a trash can without any regrets.
For everyone trying to compare switch
ports to ps4
ports that's also not a good comparison because at least those systems come out with cutting edge new
games every year that are in high demand - battlefield, Monster hunter world, while nintendo comes out with old nintendo
games and
ports from last generation playstation and xbox hardware so how can you diss the better systems and then rejoice when you
get a
game like dark souls which is from those consoles but is a shell compared to how they look and play on the better consoles??
As to why they didn't say this was a
port or a new
game during the direct - it was obviously to
get us all talking about it....
However, this ever - growing list is focused on the upcoming Switch
games we'd really recommend, either because we've played them or they already exist on other platforms and are
getting a Switch
port.
As the development team begins to open up more about what they're working on via Twitter, we've
gotten a glimpse into everything that goes into creating a
game and then
porting it from one culture to another.
Then, we
got a
port of LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga [Free], which seemed to be a fairly direct
port of the console
games and, perhaps significantly, did not release on the 3DS and PlayStation Vita.
While I understand the «It
got a wii
port» idea, the Metroid prime trilogy is very hard to find and is selling for much more than retail on eBay, so I would like a HD release to bring the price back down to reality, not to mention the updated graphics on my 2nd favorite
game of all time.
For my money it was one of the best and most underrated
games of 2016, and it's great to see it
getting a
port to the Switch with what looks like some pretty decent performance.

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are essentially enhanced

games we
got last year, developed by a younger team and released on exactly the same platform as the previous
games released on, instead of on the Nintendo Switch, which quite frankly, they would have better suited for.
Just translate /
port games like Xenoblade and The Last Story, and the rest over and they will sell more than the cost to
port it over to the west, plus more and more will
get into these
games.
