A shame, because there are times when
the games gets tense and unnerving, a big plus for this genre.

game grew

game can also
get tense and frustrating too if an opponent spends ages weighing up their best move.
Don't
get me wrong; from a gameplay perspective alone you won't see anything you haven't done before whilst you'll also see everything the
game really has to offer in the first hour, but it doesn't stop The Final Station from being a gripping and
tense experience that's easy to
get absorbed into.
It's
tense and creepy with several jumpy moments but once you
get used to things, you'll find it rather predictable and your confidence in evading the alien will increase with every encounter, so much so that I found myself sprinting more often towards the end of the
game compared to how I slowly crouch - walked in the beginning.
The
game manages to
get very
tense when moving about a building where you've heard or seen another human, whom might kill you for your gear.
Now, with Zero Time Dilemma (and the Zero Escape series as a whole) being all about the shocks and twists that
get thrown your way during the
tense and thrilling ride that is the
game's plot, I think it will be best to say here that you can be assured that this review will contain no spoilers — it would be cruel for me to ruin any of the
game, it really is an experience that you need to go into without any idea of what to expect.
Races tended to open up and be more
tense as the snake that is other racers breaks out and each driver has their eyes set on the top position, so it takes a little time for the
game to really
get going but when it does, it really puts the pedal to the metal.
Just remember that you can rip through the
game in one long sitting of six hours or so and there are few unlockables to keep you returning for more unless you want to
get every mask possible for the duo or really like playing rock, paper, scissors during a
tense fire - fight.
With both
games getting a graphical overhaul, those who have yet to play through Metro 2033 and its sequel Last Light will find an amazingly
tense and highly atmospheric FPS experience.
It's mildly frustrating occasionally — I can't count the number of times I
got into a random encounter with trash mobs, auto - battled, missed at least once, and then had both enemies curb - stomp one of my demons — but it's made the
game a lot more
tense.
Even though the
game does lack some polish and can
get buggy from time to time, the payoff of the
tense battle royale format does such a great job of keeping things thrilling right up to those final moments of winning or being cut down on your way to the top.
And that's what makes this
game so
tense and macabre: seeing those you
get attached to
get slowly wiped out.
Night is much shorter than daytime and the
game gets really
tense when not in a safe house, although experience and other bonuses are gained for dealing with the danger.
Between having four players and varying rules,
games of Puyo Puyo Tetris can
get incredibly
tense and exciting for everyone.
