I adore that Sakurai it's making Smash Bros. more than a Nintendo crossover, he's making a crossover of
gaming overall (almost), I mean having Mario, Pikachu,
Mega Man, Pac - Man, Link, Sonic, Ryu, Cloud all in just one game it's mindblowing, specially when there's characters like Cloud that never were related to Nintendo, but are one of the biggest
gaming icons and cuz of that are able to make their way in.
Well, while some people are quick to throw out names from Tekken and SoulCalibur (likely the same ones who think it should have been Ryu or someone else from Capcom, rather than
Mega Man), the obvious choice is the company mascot — especially when said mascot is not only a company
icon, but a
gaming icon and a pop culture
icon as well.
