Because next week's focus will be on
gender equality, it's probably best to focus questions on
issues related to that... but, of course, it's YOUR interview!
The clearest association I make, of course, is with the
gender equality discussion within evangelicalism — not only
because it's an
issue near to my heart, but also
because we are dealing with many of the same biblical texts.
What it means is that climate is not isolated from other
issues such as
gender equality or economic and racial justice,
because causality runs both ways: those who are oppressed in other ways are precisely those who are vulnerable to the worst effects of climate change, and precisely those who are least responsible for its occurrence.
