Today I'm going to show you how to recreate this beautiful light blue milk paint dresser and end table makeover using a custom mix
of general finishes paint.
I applied two coats, lightly sanding in between each one, and then finished with two coats of
General Finishes High Performance Water Based Top Coat in Satin.
Perhaps one day I'll use
General Finishes gel stain to darken the table and chairs to more of a walnut stain.
I mixed annie sloan's empire gray and black pepper, turned out so pretty almost bluish looking (I'm obsessed) however then I used
general finishes top coat with a foam brush and it left white streaks all over I tried to sand and made it worse I don't know what to do!!
Looking at the benjamin moore simply white for a bathroom with pale gray cabinets done

General Finishes does recommend using a 50/50 mix of denatured alcohol and water to clean your furniture before you paint it; and then a wet scotch brite pad with the mix and scrub the wood surface.
Stir
General Finishes Enduro White Undercoat to reincorporate solids that have settled to the bottom of the can before and throughout the application process.
I sanded the tops to bare wood, stained and added the Lamp Black faux grainsack stripes and painted the bases with
General Finishes Snow White Milk Paint.
I used an oil based spray primer to prime them, and then I brushed
on General Finishes Milk Paint in Snow White which is a fabulous pure white.

I did NOT have to sand or prime my cabinets at all, with the use of this and

Once I
found General Finishes High Performance Top Coat (Flat) and read how incredibly durable it is, I've left wax behind and have never looked back!!!
I
chose General Finishes Milk Paint as the stencil paint for the same reason, it's rated indoor / outdoor and once cured, will hold up well.
General Finishes provided me some of their milk paint to try out for this project and I ended up using four of their colors: snow white, seagull gray, driftwood, and patina green.
