Outside a party hosted by The WILD Magazine — which I've never heard of before, by the way — I started talking about
the general sick feeling this place had induced in me from the moment I landed, and that waiting in a line to get into a party («They've been saying they're not letting anyone in for an hour!»

general, I would say those doctors that have made it to functional medicine thus far have pretty much made it because their kid was
sick, or they were
sick, or their wife got
sick, and they
felt like they were morally obligated to practice it.
This level of sacrifice by a small group of people should make us all
feel a bit humbled by their resolve, but a little
sick inside that it has come to this — the oligarchy rules and, in
general, they don't
feel the need to listen to any of us.

When I was a teenager my grandmother got
sick and because I live close to her I was able to help her on her recovery and take care of her and it was really rewarding experience for me and I didn't know that I like taking care of people so much until I was able to take care of her... it was a little different because she was a family member and I loved her but... I find it in nursing in
general that same core interest in taking care of people and making sure people are
feeling good and
feeling better and...
feeling next time I'm watching out for them that has held through for me in my entire career and I just really enjoy that aspect of the job.
