The vehicles themselves sound okay for the most part and there's
a generic rock soundtrack that does a good enough job of matching the on - screen action, but the noise of certain terrain just sounds off, such as water which just sounds... odd.

I suppose it is possible that Act of Aggression is aiming to replicate the Command & Conquer with its goofball stories and characters, especially when you hear the
generic techno
soundtrack with the occasional hard
rock riff tossed in for good measure.
I can't say the same about the
rock / hip - hop / J - Pop hybrid
soundtrack, though; your enjoyment will come down to personal taste; the
generic tune that plays every time you visit New Los Angeles was so grating I dreaded returning to the hub.
The audio is also weak, with a
soundtrack being a
generic mix of rap and some alt
rock music that tends to repeat or not play at all, and the cars producing fairly anemic growls.
