Support for speakers at international meetings: ASHG supports the exchange of
genetics education expertise across borders by offsetting some of the travel costs for prominent geneticists / genetics educators who are invited to serve as faculty or speakers at international workshops or meetings (including efforts that focus on developing countries and integrating genetics / genomics into clinical care).
Founded by J. Craig Venter, Ph.D., the JCVI is home to approximately 300 scientists and staff with
expertise in human and evolutionary biology,
genetics, bioinformatics / informatics, information technology, high - throughput DNA sequencing, genomic and environmental policy research, and public
education in science.
