books were owned by a library, at a later date I couldn't re - edit / re-write those
books and try to
get them
published by a print publisher, as they wouldn't be mine
anymore.
The thing is, I completely
get it, for all the reasons you listed — I've read enough self -
published books that obviously weren't copy edited (or were really, really poorly copy edited) that I don't buy them
anymore unless they were recommended to me or I've already read by that author, so as a blogger, I certainly wouldn't put in the time without being sure!
