Agree improving defense is probably the best path considering that Arsenal will not commit the funds it would take to get a world class striker on board like Ibrahimovic or Aubameyang.

Lets get a top striker, a young sound quick defender like Varane to replace Per (I «m always filled with trepidation whenever i see him struggling back to make an interception) and a creative attacking midfielder like Mkhytarian.

Unfortunately, the Thierry Henry type of striker doesn't exist in abundance the way we think, and if a club is lucky, they will get just one player like that but not up to three.

What about vincent janssen He has scored 14 goals in his last 11 games and made 3 assists He is a complete striker he can hold up the ball amd he can run behind defenders even he is not very fast he also play with his two legs and give very nice passes He is only 21 My ideal world will be if we got a super striker like zlatan and get this guy for the next years I'm sure he will be a beast in the coming years

his goal scoring record speaks for it self but would be better if we got him for cheaper price like closer to # 20 million, could be bargain for 2 - 3 years of shed - load of goals probably the most flamboyant of all the strikers we could be approaching this summer, has got a right nose for the back of the net and scores from every angle under the sun with both feet, and he would be a great stopgap until akpom comes good in 2 years time.

It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his time at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer

When Giroud is on his game he's excellent the difference between him and op strikers like Aguero is Aguero has more consistency and can get the goal agains a top team when its tight.im not sure any of the strikers mentioned are what we need, we need an aguero type player which none of the mentioned are.

Sometimes it looks like hes reacting to his own touch as hes not quite sure where ball will end up, he gets away with it at times with reactions being quick but every second for a striker really matters and the first touch gives you that time.

This would rule out another striker signing, but I feel like we definitely need one although I can't see us getting Mbappe, but for nearly half the money we could bid for Aubameyang although without the CL I hardly see us convincing him either.
