Another of the governor's many State of the State proposals: Establishing a food pantry for students at every public college, or, at the very least, a «stigma - free» way for hungry kids to
get access to healthy food.

to nutrition programs, increasing outreach, and expanding
access to affordable and
healthy food — all steps that will
get us closer
to our mutual goal of ending hunger.

to supporting families»
access to fresh,
healthy food (
to encourage youths» taste preferences), we need
to be doing a lot more
to ensure all kids are
getting proper nutrition.

This might be a bit far down the line, but I was wondering if you had any tips on ensuring children can
get healthy nutrition and
access to natural
foods when enrolling them in daycare or preschool.
This is not
to say, of course, that you shouldn't set limits or that you should allow
access to foods 24/7, but if a child is truly not hungry (or using this as an excuse
to not eat
healthy foods), don't force the issue or resort
to junk
food just
to get them
to eat something.
