The bible would have taken roughly a century to

religion, and how closely apart the dates are, makes me think its considerable evidence than Jesus couldn't have just been a made up figure.

around the world are more about control of natural resources and have nothing to do with
religion but you see, you can not
get someone to kill in the name of diamonds, or oil, or access to natural gas and other natural resources.

I was struck by a remark Paul Haggis made, that other
religions give you all their most basic beliefs in the first few minutes, while with Scientology you can be years into it and hundreds of thousands of dollars down before they

I have a suspicion that god / dess / es don't exist, but, I'm kind of fond of the idea of a «one god» in a somewhat weird»em manent / transcendent» way (yah, I know, they don't really go together, but that is kind of what I ses as... miraculous... in my little paradigm) that is not personal, but is intimate (I know, I know, another paradox)... and that most
religions are some attempt at people trying to

around expressing that «one god»...
Sure we have, now
religion is
getting applications from the government instead of the other way
around.
Of course its good to be
around like - minded believers, but you don't need to belong to a
religion to
get that.
