get a dog of the opposite sex then the one you have.
Not exact matches
If you already have a
dog and are thinking
of getting another, it is advisable to
get a
dog of the
opposite gender as
dogs of the same
sex are more likely to fight with each other.
Mini Bulls usually
get along well with
opposite -
sex dogs with careful introductions, although they tend to scrap with
dogs of the same
sex, especially other terriers.
And many entire
dogs get on perfectly well with neutered or entire
dogs of the same or
opposite sex.
You may notice, however, that your
dog has a tendency to
get along better with
dogs of the
opposite sex.
Others may only
get along with
dogs of the
opposite sex or may
get along with a few, select
dogs.
Strays — These occur from guardians who let their pets roam; who don't spay / neuter them, so they look for
opposite sex companionship; guardians who abandon their animals or never bother looking for them once they are gone; and by guardians who don't keep ID tags on their animals at all times (regardless
of if the
dog is an inside - only
dog or if the
dog has never before
gotten out
of the yard).
Something worth remembering is that most
dogs will
get along better with a
dog of the
opposite sex.
However, they are also friendly with most people, affectionate and protective with their families, and can
get along well with other
dogs as long as they are
of the
opposite sex (same -
sex terriers will almost inevitably
get in scuffles).
