Just how do you
get up in the morning and
dress yourself with having only half a brain in your
head?
Perhaps it's a regular program of school or work or household chores:
get up, take a shower,
get dressed, eat breakfast, prop yourself
up with a little caffeine,
head to whatever it is you do every day, then move through the regular routine.
Next you
head into the supermarket (remembering that you had to actually
dress up, do your hair, fix makeup etc. to do this) and wander the aisles wasting time looking at ingredient lists and trying to remember if the gums, preservatives and additives have dairy / eggs in them... taking the rolls to the counter, working out whether or not you want to go through the self checkout or keep a checkout operator employed for a few more years... pay...
get back in the car... find somewhere to buy bottled water for the dogs... drive 50 km home... unpack dogs and buns and suddenly
getting up, stretching... wearing whatever the heck you like with your hair in the air, no makeup, dogs within a hard stares range in case they feel like eating the furniture while you are working and that slow measuring out, baking etc. doesn't seem so time consuming any more.
Have grandma stop by for an hour or two and go out for lunch, or
get a little
dressed up and
head to an old favorite dinner spot.

Give them a bath before
heading to the airport, have them
dress in really comfortable clothes that they can easily sleep in, and make sure that they
get plenty of rest while on the plane so that they don't end
up sleep deprived.
I immediately started

heading to prom (probably because I was applying red lipstick, something totally out of my norm)... well 5 years too late mom, but any who I wanted to wear a flirty, sexy and fun little

I'd seen this film a long time ago but when I saw it again this time, I had a much better appreciation of the Aboriginal way of being and the thing that really struck me in this film was there was a section of the film where they were going to do this aeroplane song and dance corroboree and they were
getting ready for it and you know there are all these Elders and you know very wise and respected Elders you know making their costumes they were gonna wear, talking about how it was gonna be and in amongst all these people there's little children you know of one 1 or 2 or 3 years old who were just crawling around and you know watching and listening, trying on their
head -
dresses and they were completely welcomed into that adult community, there was no sense of, you know this is grown
up business, you kids go off and play which is very much the western model.
