My husband said I should
get kilz primer and stain cover well all the sites said shellac well.

I did use
Kilz Original oil based primer to finally
get rid of the stench... luckily for me, it only took one coat to do the job:)
Kilz will work to
get rid of the bleed through.
(It's going to be tough though... I've
got everything from wood glue and
Kilz under my nails, to dust - filled pores on my nose.

To
get good coverage it involved one coat of
Kilz primer, followed by three coats of Benjamin Moore «Simply White».
