I think only barca real or Bayern can tempt those players away from leicester, they would give at least a year to the club, but season after that they will move onto other club depending on their form next season.
As for arsenal transfer i wouldn't want to listen to rumours
as most of the times these rumours are just utter garbage.i want a certain rumour about Wolfsburg signing giroud to be true.Anyways if our idiotic manager has some sense left in him after an embarrassing season he should
get a premium striker which the club needed
for past 4 years. He need to put his ego aside and his old philosophy of waiting
for players to develop. We need already established players in every department of our team.Penny pinching has cost us just pay the damn
money get the players.I
get the feeling next season is going to be harder and we have less chance of winning cause man city have had 2 seasons without premier league and guardiola is gonna bring
more quality and hunger to that team.
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved,
as Sanchez's exploits have never been
more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills
as a front man, will only be
as good
as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the
get - go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test
for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of time and
money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring
for a real striker
for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this club's failure to
get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not
for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level,
as his presence slows their game even
more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make
more money whereas we will always be the ones paying
for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
But since football is a business nowadays
more than it is a sport, he's
got ta look out
for himself and make
as much
money as he can at the same time.
3 League titles / 6 Fa cups and constant champions league last 16odd years out of 19 also but no matter what anyone says his time
as our coach has come to an end even if we win the league which in fairness we have a great shot so going out of Europe could help us win the league
for Wenger to leave on a high like fergie did... This has to be his last season in charge along with Stan the Conman...
Money needs put into this squad to
get it to the next level and a different direction because in all honesty when we beat Bayern they just did nt take their chances like they did last night and they already had a great squad and added to it in the summer with Costa etc... we had a real chance this year if we had brought in
more than Cech and that is Wengers fault!
Unless we raise
more money through sales we may have 50 - 60M max in remaining budget (having spent 11M on Cech and
get back around 2M through Podolski sale)-- if we spend 25M on a DM like Schederlein / Kondogbia / Carvalho now — we do not have any budget left
for the World Class ST that we direly need
more than the DM (Arteta played whole 2013 - 2014 where we have one of the best defensive record — people seem to have short memory — he would be ok
as backup
for another season) Wenger have done well in the last 2 seasons — bringing in Ozil when Real signed Bale, bringing in Sanchez when Barca signed Suarez.
You don't
get it do you?I'm not even talking about the
money. But I agree with you that
for the kind of
money that will be spent on Mbappe it's a higher gamble.Henry was bought to be a starter and
as the main man
for Arsenal. He was so young by then and the pressure on him was massive.Looking at the impact he's had in our club if Henry had failed who would imagine what Arsene would have done.To me he's our best player ever.Arsene put a lot of trust in him to be honest but the gamble paid off. However, I think he had a point to prove to world and to Juve hence he succeeded. The same
as is with Mbappe with even a higher transfer fee and
more expectation.If he's ever signed
for that amount he's coming here to be the main man whowill send us into glory.Forget Ozchez
for all eyes will be on him.
Although I've found it very cathartic to speak, vent and end occasionally rant about all things Arsenal, we need to act carefully and intelligently right now or we're going to
get played by this club even worse than at present... the pro-Wengerites and the suits, who represent a considerable proportion of the season ticket holders, don't want to believe that there is no plan and that Wenger has mailed it in
for several years now or that things are going to
get much worse before they
get better... why would they... many have spent a considerable sum buying some of the highest priced tickets in the World... they want to have a front row seat to see something special and to be seen doing so, which simply provides ample justification
for the expense and the time invested... to many of them, Wenger is the sun in their soccer universe... his awkward disposition, misplaced arrogance and his utter lack of balls makes him a rather unusual cult figure, but the cerebral narrative seemed to embolden those who already felt pretty highly of themselves... many might not even of really liked football that much before his arrival and rarely games they weren't attending...
as such, they desperately believe that Wenger, and only Wenger, can supply them with their required fix... if he goes, they were wrong and that's a tough pill to swallow... they would have to admit that they were duped... they will definitely resent whoever made them feel this way, but of course it will be too late by then... so when we go overboard with ridiculous comments bordering of anarchy, it scares the shit out of them and they shift their blame towards us rather than at those who really perpetrated this act of treason... we aren't the enemy... we simply woke much earlier and the reason our comments have
gotten more vile in recent years is out of utter frustration... in order
for any real change to occur at this club we need to bring
as many supporters
as possible with us or the big
money interests will fade and our ultimate objective will be lost... so it's time to focus on the head instead of the heart
for now
On the other hand, teams now use it
as a ploy to
get more money for their players.
Sure, fans won't
get as much excitement
as they did in the past from Sky Sports» Deadline Day, however they'll most likely be thankful
for it in the long run,
as it means their clubs are much
more likely to save
money, and have a lesser chance of being ripped off by other clubs
for players they don't always necessarily need.
If Kane (
as top earner) is moving the wage ceiling up, then surely that makes
more space
for Toby to
get his
money, but still come beneath Kane.
According to The Sun, Barcelona are pushing to
get Bellerin back
as they look
for a long - term solution at right - back, although they're not willing to spend
more than # 45m
for him
as Arsenal continue to demand big
money.
Emirates stadium and huge sponsor deals we finally have had two poor years by his standards at the helm we always havent been so great and are we weak supporters or strong give him a contract i mean hes won with ants
for money let him spend
for once cause even if we do
get new manager inflation has occured and no body else will win with the small amounts we gave him to spend and in 20 years actuall
more it seems the club is finally willing to spend give him a contract let him spend and if we do nt improve which i think we will i think that the club is finally willing to spend shows were on an upturn because
as long
as top four the owner and board weren't and after we spend big or somewhat big
for once and auba and mkhitaryan arent the big im hoping
for i want
more if liverpoodlians can pay 75million
for a cb let wenget spend a bit and if we still do bad we can always sack him or ask him to leave wouldnt be uncommon but we owe it to him and do nt say we do not because emirates london colney that will bring in high talent here
for years to come and we have never spent
for him just gave little and hes always done big things with little i think he can do bigger things in his final years if we give him big i do nt see us in decline but if we sack him we will be
for a good three maybe four years
It is not
getting any better
for Arsenal fans and Arsene Wenger, and instead of the last few days of the transfer window being a period in which the problems of the team could be sorted by spending some big
money on the right players after a poor start to the latest Premier League campaign, it is turning into a time of even
more misery
as we lose key stars to direct rivals and are unable to replace them because players do not seem to be too keen on signing
for the Gunners anymore.
I can only hope that this attempt is taken
more seriously than the largely muted and clearly unsuccessful protests of late last season... although the plane writing escapade brought some much - needed attention to the matter, it failed to resonate with fence - sitters and those who had just recently fell off the Wenger truck... without a big enough showing of support the whole endeavor appeared relatively weak and poorly organized, especially to the major media outlets, whose involvement could have significantly changed what was to follow... but I
get it, few wanted to turn on their club, let alone make a public display of their discord... problem is, they are preying on that vulnerability, in fact, their counting on you to keep your thoughts to yourself... who are you to tell these fat cats how to steal your
money... they have worked long and hard to pull the wool over your eyes... they even went so far
as to pay enormous sums of cash to your once beloved professor to be their corporate spokesmodel so that the whole thing would be
more palatable... eventually the club made it appear
as if this was simply a relatively small fringe group of highly radicalized supporters, which allowed the pro-Wenger element inside the club hierarchy to claim victory following the FA Cup win... unfortunately what has happened to this club can't be solved by FA Cups or a few players coming in, the very culture of this club needs to be changed and that starts at the top... in order to change the unhealthy and dysfunctional narrative that has absorbed this club we need to remove everyone who presently occupies a position of power... only then can we
get back to the business of playing championship caliber football, which should always be the number one priority of this organization... on an important side note, one of the most devastating mistakes made in the final days of this hectic and poorly planned transfer window didn't have to do with the big name players like Sanchez or Lemar, but the fact that they failed to secure Jadon Sancho, who might even start
for Dortmund this season... I think they might seriously regret this oversight... instead of spending so much time, energy and manpower pretending that they were desperately trying to make big moves, they once again lost the plot due to their all too familiar tunnel vision
I think Chelsea bid # 96 million I hope the bidding keeps going up It is sort of amusing
as these clubs have
more money than sense while
get a really good striker
for a much
more reasonable price
Time
for some brutal honesty... this team,
as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far
more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to
get rid of
for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he
got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in,
as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position...
as far
as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment,
as such we should
get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should
get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to
get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous
for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order
for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer
as a result of his presence on the pitch...
as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had
more than a year left under contract is criminal
for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find
money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul...
for me it's time to
get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just
as much time on the training table
as on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid
for Suarez, or that we couldn't
get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up
for half the price he eventually went to Juve
for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win
more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore
as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded
more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness
for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
Why the hell would he come out and say «yes it's true our best and most valuable player is
for sale» literally the moment he says that Sanchez price is probably cut in half
as the whole footballing world knows we will be selling him, only an idiot would bash wenger
for lying about it, the
more money he can squeeze out of Sanchez leaving the better so we can
get a replacement.
